Day 1: The Gift of Love
Scripture:
“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
— Isaiah 9:6 (NKJV)
Reflection — A Love Letter from the Father
Beloved,
Before the stars found their places in the heavens, you were already in My heart.
Before Bethlehem ever glowed beneath angel light, I had already written your name into the story of redemption.
When I sent My Son into the world, I didn’t send Him to rule from afar or to reign from a distance. I sent Him close — in flesh, in frailty, in love. He came as a Child so you could see that My heart was never unreachable.
Every cry from the manger was a whisper of eternity: “You are worth this.”
This is the love that cannot fade — the love that crosses galaxies and graveyards, that mends what shame has broken, that calls you Mine even when the world calls you forgotten.
Love came wrapped in swaddling clothes, not silk.
Love was laid in a manger, not a throne.
And yet, from that humble cradle, Heaven sang, because My love had a heartbeat.
Today, let that truth rest over you like fresh snow — quiet, pure, covering every scar of yesterday. You are not unloved. You are not unseen. The Child born in Bethlehem was love’s greatest declaration, and every sunrise since has been My reminder that nothing will ever separate you from it.
Call to Worship
Pause here, dear heart.
Whisper thanks to the One who came near.
Worship the Christ of Christmas —
not for the lights or the gifts, but for the love that found you and will never let you go.
