Day 23 — The Night of His Arrival

Day 23 — The Night of His Arrival

Scripture:

“So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger.”
— Luke 2:6–7 (NKJV)

A Love Letter from the Father

Beloved,

The night I entered your world was not quiet in Heaven.
Angels filled the sky with songs no ear had heard before.
But on earth, My coming was wrapped in stillness — the hush of straw, the rhythm of a mother’s heart.

I did not arrive in splendor but in simplicity.
No royal trumpet, only a cry that pierced eternity.
I came small so you would never fear to draw near.

Do not miss the wonder of it: the King of Kings cradled by common hands.
The Word that spoke galaxies now cooing in the dark.
Every shadow trembled, every promise breathed again.

Beloved, that same presence still fills quiet rooms.
You do not need stained glass or angel choirs to find Me;
find Me in the ordinary — in laughter, candlelight, forgiveness, and love.

The manger was only the beginning.
I came not just to visit, but to stay.
And tonight, if you listen, you will hear Heaven’s song still echo:
Peace on earth. My peace in you.

Call to Worship

Pause in the hush of His presence.
Whisper, “Welcome, Jesus.”
Let worship fill your night as it did the skies that holy evening.
