Day 9 — The Gift of Humility

Day 9 — The Gift of Humility

Scripture:

“And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger.”
— Luke 2:7 (NKJV)

A Love Letter from the Father

Beloved,

Glory knelt low that night.
The Creator of galaxies breathed under a mother’s heartbeat.
All of Heaven leaned close to watch humility wear skin.

I could have chosen a palace, but I chose a stable—
because humility opens doors pride will never find.
The straw was rough, the air cold, the welcome small—
yet My presence filled the space until angels sang.

Learn from that manger.
Greatness does not require grandeur.
True power does not shout; it serves.

Beloved, the world will tell you to climb, compete, prove.
But I call you to stoop, to serve, to shine quietly.
When you lower yourself in love, you rise in grace.
When you wash feet, you mirror the hands that formed the stars.

Humility is not thinking less of yourself; it is thinking of yourself less.
It is the freedom to love without needing recognition.
It is the beauty of being small enough for Me to fill.

Let others seek thrones; you have found the manger.
And there, in the simplest obedience, you will find Me waiting.

Call to Worship

Bow your heart before the humble King.
Thank Him for teaching greatness through gentleness.
Let quiet awe become your song.
